A brief history
We take its name from the Bastonaca district, in the heart of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Frappato and Nero d'Avola.
Our young and modern winery with roots in tradition is located in this land, full of stories related to wine.
The site is an old eighteenth-century millstone, where one has the sensation of still perceiving the fragrances of freshly pressed grapes in the stone vats and the bubbling of the must in the vats.
Around, spread over 15 hectares, many sapling vines, to renew a glorious past, but, at the same time, with a proud look towards a promising future.
A thousand ancient olive trees of the rare Carolea variety, with green-silver foliage, fully enhance the suggestive chromatic shades.
We breed with love Frappato and Nero d'Avola, as well as Grenache and Tannat, combining tradition and innovation, guided by passion and curiosity.
We cultivate the vineyard, in organic conversion, by hand, with effort and sweat, in a vision of natural agriculture.
We do not irrigate, to ensure that all the warmth of the earth and its wonderful sun is concentrated in each grape, elements that make our wine and our South unique.
We had a dream, recently realized with the acquisition of a splendid reality , one hectare of vines in Nerello Mascalese and 50-year-old Cappuccio, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, in Solicchiata, where Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, offers extreme beauty and dazzling emotions.
For our estates we only use natural and recyclable raw materials, because respect for the environment comes first. For us and for Carlo Ferrini, agronomist and oenologist of exquisite sensitivity, who supports us in our daily effort.
