Centopassi

It is dedicated to all the schools and the teachers committed to fight mafia culture. Perricone was once widely planted but due to it being hard to manage it is dying out. However, the resulting wine is a beauty, dark purple color with aromas of blackberry and rose petal.

This Grillo is organically farmed and from a single site in central Sicily. The vines are planted in a clay rich soil at high elevation (550m) to preserve freshness. The vineyard called 'Rocce di Pietra Longa' for the long rock that sit in the middle of the vineyard This wine is dedicated to Nicolò Azoti, a young trade unionist from Baucina murdered by the mafia, so that his memory may continue to be alive in our conscience.

Giato wines come from some of our best Sicilian grapes. They represent the highest point of the Centopassi blend's excellence project aimed at valorizing traditional and typical vineyards of Western Sicily. Giato is the name of the old district that surrounded amazing Greek theatre located on the top of Mount Jato. This place overlooks Jato Valley, Belice upland and the most important core of the Centopassi vineyards. They are dedicated to vine growers who, with endless passion, support the recovery and the valorization of a territory, its social tissue and its traditions, contributing to the common good of generations.
