An international wine that has found Sicily as an area of choice for its production. Elegant and rich, Chardonnay gives us a wine of absolute pleasure and great balance that seems to have taken on the characteristics of the other indigenous white berry varieties grown in the island.

The absolute sovereign of the “Sicilian Vineyard”, favorite son of his native land, Nero d’Avola is the undisputed protagonist of the Riesino area which preserves the history and the best vineyards destined to the cultivation of this vine. This wine is produced from a plot of about two hectares located in the heart of the farm, in a hilly area that you can reach only by foot. These characteristics allow us to create a unique wine with an exclusive character within a territory particularly suitable for the cultivation of this grape. The harvest is done late to obtain a natural drying process of the berries which allows us to further enhance the power and elegance that these fine grapes have.

Our company is partially located within the Cerasuolo di Vittoria area which is the only DOCG in Sicily. For this reason, we wanted to give great importance and eminence to this aspect, planting vineyards of Frappato and Nero d’Avola in those areas that are, by the way, the highest of our company, with vineyards that can reach even 400 meters in height, with beautiful displays and clay-rich soils that make the ideal habitat for the cultivation of the two varieties that blend in the soul of our Cerasuolo di Vittoria.

From a grape typical and characteristic of Sicily, we obtain this elegant and structured wine that contains the very essence of the homeland to which it is dedicated. The Frappato is enhanced in this modern pink version that highlights the best characteristics of this variety, giving us a riot of aromas and flavours that brings to mind the indigenous colours and aromas of Trinacria.

The great corporate work of enhancing the white berried varieties has led us to discover the potential and aptitude of our grapes for the production of modern and characteristic sparkling wines. Funis, our first company sparkling wine, was born from this commitment.
