Sicily is a region rich in history, tradition and art.

Each place expresses a different historical period that has sedimented different cultures and traditions making this island a mixture of unique beauty and diversity.

Graffetta is one step away from the town of Ispica, adjacent to Noto and Modica, the villages of the most authentic Sicilian Baroque, architectures that mark the rebirth of the Val di Noto after the terrible earthquake of 1697, which razed the main centers of the area to the ground.

In 2004 we decided to intertwine the destinies of our group with this estate for two reasons: the first concerns a sentimental aspect, the love for our homeland prevailed, transported by the beauty and historicity of the places.

The second reason is more rational (entrepreneurial), we have decided to bet on the great quality of Sicilian land and agricultural products.

The wine culture of this south-eastern area of ​​Sicily boasts eighteenth-century traditions, a period in which the region is essentially a huge fief of noble families who administer the rural areas of the area for long periods. 

The cultivation of Nero d'Avola, difficult and laborious, until a few decades ago was carried out manually, with the help of mules to clear the earth and to transport the barrels of wine from the millstone to the resales.

The culture of bottled wine, on the other hand, is a very recent history that we want to help to write aware of the enormous qualitative potential of these places and of the products that derive from them.

Recently acquired Sicilian farm. The property of 22 hectares of vineyards at 40 meters above sea level, in the Ragusa area near Ispica, near the road that leads from the town to the sea of ​​Marina di Pozzallo.
Powerful and concentrated wines. It is a 16th century beam that previously belonged to the Count of Modica, like the rest of the property.

Prasià derives from the Sicilian name Orta in the language of ancient Greece which identifies a dedicated, in that period and even more today, to the production of vegetables for family use by the inhabitants of the neighboring town. A deep, fertile and generous soil that protects the bunches of grapes well from the sun for a more complex ripening.
