A brief history
The Saltamatta company was born from the passion of two friends for French wines. The passion of Marco and Maurizio led them to acquire vineyards of French grapes already cultivated since the early 1900s and located in Tindari, in the province of Messina, the city where they met, one because in Sicily for reasons of I work the other because they are isolated by birth.
The commitment of the two friends is to combine the tradition and regional winemaking culture with the typical characteristics of the great French crus, paying particular attention to the ever-demanding demands of the market.
Maurizio and Marco, in the realization of their project, also intended to promote the juxtaposition between the noble art of winemaking and that of painting by entrusting, year after year, to a different artist, the creation of a new label.
