A brief history
Cantine La Vite was founded in 1970 by the will of 43 founders who decided to join together to give life to what has become one of the most productive and flourishing wineries in Sicily.
Our 1.300 socio-growers grow about 2.300 hectares in the territories of central and southern Sicily, in particular among the provinces of Caltanissetta, Agrigento and Ragusa. The production in oriented towards black berried grape varieties (about 80%), local white Sicilian grapes and Nero d’Avola grapes, of which the company is the largest producer in Sicily.
Thanks to the use of the most innovative production techniques and above all operating with the utmost care and respect for the environment, Cantine La Vite is known worldwide for the quality of its products.
Since 2020 Cantine La Vite S.C.A. created the Le Schette Fruit brand to promote a new fruit and vegetable business entirely made in our territory and by our producers, and was born thanks to the creation of a modern, technological and efficient infrastructure.
