Cantine VinciMarsala Superiore Ambra Garibaldi Dolce DOCPeople say that the “hero of the two worlds”, Giuseppe Garibaldi, came back to Marsala on July the 19th 1862. He was a guest of Count Grignani and from the balcony of his palace at Porta Nuova, he pronounced the faithful words “ROME OR DEATH”. On that occasion the people, who arranged for him impressive celebrations, were particularly fascinated by his personality.
When the General tasted the famous Marsala wine, already traded all over the world thanks to Benjamin Ingham, he appreciated the “Superiore Dolce” which, from then on, in his honour, would be called GARIBALDI DOLCE.
