Butirah, the ancient Arabic name for Butera, evokes the Levantine origins of Syrah and reveals the exotic soul of a Sicily that is halfway between East and West. An intense and enveloping red, it has aromas of morello cherries and sweet fruits and spices.

A Bordeaux blend in a distinctively Sicilian style, it is a genuine expression of the terroir of Butera and reflects the European character of the Sicilian nobility. As its Greek name suggests, it is a wine for get-togethers, celebrations and sharing. This red wine successfully combines the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruitiness of Merlot and the savoury notes of Petit Verdot to create an authentic harmony with a Mediterranean flavour.

Serò is the result of lengthy research and enhancement of a native Sicilian varietal, Insolia, which in Butera finds the ideal habitat in which to ennoble and enrich itself with new fragrances. As its name suggests, it is a true act of love (Serò, from the ancient Greek σου ἐρῶ - ‘I love you’) towards a variety, which rewards commitment, constancy and determination, yielding a white with gre- at finesse that is capable of evolving over time.

Deliella is the premier cru produced by Principi di Butera, bearing the name of the district in which the estate is located. This 100%, single-vineyard Nero d’Avola has an aristocratic profile, great ageing potential and an unconventional ability to combine intensity and balance with elegance and sobriety. With its highly distinctive style, Deliella expresses the character of the district of Butera, one of the areas best suited to the cultivation of Sicily’s most noble autochthonous grape.
