Nose
It has a very fruity bouquet with hints of red berries (strawberry, blackberries).
Palate
It has an acidity typical of Nero d’Avola that makes it very fresh and elegant, so as to make it easy to drink.
Growing Conditions
The grapes come from the estate of Salemi, located at an altitude of 150 meters above the sea level. The soil, rich in organic substances, has a clay structure.
Harvest
The grapes are harvested in advance at the end of August, in the coolest hours of the day.
Winemaking
The grapes are vinified in “white” with a very short maceration on the skins (about 2/3 hours) and soft pressing. The fermentation continues in steel tanks maintained at a constant temperature about 15° C. After fermentation the wine is decanted in order to remove the gross lees and to preserve the aromatic compounds. Then it is maturated in steel tanks maintained at a constant temperature, afterwards it is shortly aged in the bottle.
Appearance
Soft pink color with onion skin reflections.
