A brief history

Our Winery, which covers a total of about 24 hectares, is located in western Sicily exactly in Poggioreale in the province of Trapani at 200 meters above sea level, where we grow in addition to Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Catarratto and Trebbiano grapes, also Nocellara del Belice olive groves.
It has been handed down for five generations but we have been making wine since the 2014 harvest and we have been on the bottled wine market since November 2015;
the whole production cycle is subjected and certified to organic production since 2010.
We produce high quality organic wines, from Sicilian vines, exclusively from grapes produced in our own vineyards, thus guaranteeing the highest quality level in the vineyard, being certain that great wines are born from the best grapes.
Our organic wines are produced without the addition of Gum Arabica.
The names of the wines represent the number of the cadastral parcel on which the vineyard stands.
Our philosophy is to essentially bring the fruits of the vineyard into the bottle;
also for this reason, from the 2017 harvest after having verified for several years that by carefully working in the vineyard, rigorously selecting the grapes and plots, we always found perfect wines in the tank, free of any note of olfactory, gustatory and analytical defect, we decided to insert the "N" line or the line of Bio Unfiltered, Unclarified and Unstabilized wines, thus offering consumers the possibility to choose our "Integral" and increasingly natural organic wines.
To date we produce the following references:
the filtered wines:
• "306" Nero d'Avola Bio - Doc Sicilia - 100% Nero d'Avola (20 months in steel, 10% for six months in barrique, and then in the bottle for at least another 6 months) - 22 year old vineyard (plant of 2000) - current production no. 3,500 bottles (potential production 20,000 bottles)
• "204" Grillo Bio - Doc Sicilia - 100% Grillo (5 months in steel and then in bottle) - 13 year old vineyard (plant in 2009) - current production no. 2,500 bottles (potential production 10,000 bottles)
• "Primo Blend" Bio - Igp Terre Siciliane - 63% Trebbiano (36 year old vineyard - 1986 plant) and 37% Catarratto (11 year old vineyard - 2011 planted) - first vinification harvest 2020 - 5 months in steel and then in bottle - current production nr. 2,000 bottles (potential production 10,000 bottles)

unfiltered wines:

• "204 N" Grillo Bio - Doc Sicilia - 100% Grillo (5 months in steel and then in bottle) - 13 year old vineyard (plant in 2009) - current production no. 2,000 bottles (potential production 10,000 bottles)
• "797 N" Catarratto Bio - Doc Sicilia - 100% Catarratto (4 months in steel and then in bottle) - 11 year old vineyard (2011 plant) - current production no. 2,500 bottles (potential production 10,000 bottles)
• "Trebbiano N" Bio - Igp Terre Siciliane - 100% Trebbiano - first vinification harvest 2020 - 36 year old vineyard (plant in 1986) - current production nr. 2,830 bottles (potential production 20,000 bottles)
in March 2020 we planted a new 1 hectare Syrah vineyard which will obviously go into the bottle at least in 5 - 6 years (timing to be evaluated in the future)
We started with a small production of about 3,000 bottled wine and we focused above all on quality, wanting to verify with our grapes what wines we could make.
We did not immediately build the cellar but we leaned on a small nearby winery working the grapes with their equipment, in the awareness that the difference comes from the vineyard and not from the equipment that can be the same wherever they are.
To date we vinify only 15% of the grapes produced and produce about 15,000 bottles, we have gradually and cautiously increased the quantities as we conquered small slices of the market.
Our goal is to vinify 100% of our grapes from around 13 hectares of vineyards to produce around 90,000 bottles.
We believe that the time has come to build our cellar and we are starting work on its construction by 2023.
