Growing Conditions

The grapes are sourced from high hillside estate vineyard at 'Paradiso', in the small DOC of Contessa Entellina (Palermo). The organically cultivated old vines grow on calcareous soil, rich in tuff. 'Paradiso' is surrounded by rolling hills of wheat fields and olive groves. The area is very windy, particularly in Spring when the strong 'scirocco' arrives, bringing sand from the Sahara. The climate is Mediterranean and the vineyards are just 30 minutes from the sea.
