Nose

The nose offers a fresh and fragrant bouquet with notes of white pulp fruit (peach) combined with hints of wildflowers.

Palate

In the mouth we find the evident fruity note, refreshed by a pleasant sapidity. The finish has a good persistence.

Growing Conditions

In the heart of western Sicily – among the hills of Contessa Entellina, between 200 and 500 metres above sea level – are the vineyards from which Donnafugata originated. The climate is Mediterranean, with concentrated rainfall in autumn and winter, dry and windy summers, characterized by sharp differences in temperature between day and night.

Harvest

The harvest, from August to September, follows the ripening periods of the different varieties.

Winemaking

Fermentation: in stainless steel, at a temperature of 14-16°C (57-61° F).

Lucido (Catarratto), the predominant variety; the blend is complemented by other autochthonous and international varieties

Aging

Ageing in tanks for two months and then at least two months in bottle before release.

Appearance

Anthìlia 2021 has a yellow straw color.

Food Pairing

Perfect when paired with tomato and basil bruschetta, seafood pasta, blue fish. Try also with ceasar salad.
