Palate

Anthìlia 2009 is fruity, with hints of citrus and peach, and floral notes giving extra complexity, on the palate has sapidity and is therefore extremely enjoyable.

Growing Conditions

In the heart of western Sicily – among the hills of Contessa Entellina, between 200 and 500 metres above sea level – are the vineyards from which Donnafugata originated. The climate is Mediterranean, with concentrated rainfall in autumn and winter, dry and windy summers, characterized by sharp differences in temperature between day and night.

Harvest

The harvest, from August to September, follows the ripening periods of the different varieties

Winemaking

Fermentation: in stainless steel, at a temperature of 14-16°C (57-61° F).

Aging

2 months in vats 2 months in bottle

Food Pairing

Delicate and versatile in pairings, especially with seafood. A wine that’s never too simple.

Perfect when paired with tomato and basil bruschetta, seafood pasta, blue fish. Try also with cesar salad.
