Palate
The Anthìlia 2008 is fairly low in alcohol and rich in fruity and floral notes.
Growing Conditions
The year’s fine weather enabled the grapes to ripen without a high degree of sugar content and to reach good acidity.
In the heart of western Sicily – among the hills of Contessa Entellina, between 200 and 500 metres above sea level – are the vineyards from which Donnafugata originated. The climate is Mediterranean, with concentrated rainfall in autumn and winter, dry and windy summers, characterized by sharp differences in temperature between day and night.
Harvest
8.0 - 9.0 t (3.2 - 3.6 t/acres)
The harvest, from August to September, follows the ripening periods of the different varieties
Winemaking
Fermentation: in stainless steel, at a temperature of 14-16°C (57-61° F).
Aging
2 months in vats 2 months in bottle
Food Pairing
Perfect when paired with tomato and basil bruschetta, seafood pasta, blue fish. Try also with ceasar salad.
